Each norm or standard specifies the compliance requirements which need to be met. An audit is performed to express an opinion on the organization/system(s) in question according to the standard.
Branswijck has the experience to ensure ‘reasonable assurance’ is reached and can
be demonstrated (towards a certification body). Branswijck conducts (prior to a
certification audit) an on-site audit of your organization/system(s) to determine
(compliance or) readiness for the certification.
In general an audit can be done by an internal or external authority. A certification
audit done by a recognized authority or a (pre-)audit by Branswijck are external.
A (pre-)audit (for certification) can of course be done by your internal body, but
an external authority gives you a more objective and hence more reliable assurance
that you will pass certification.
